Miss Bangladesh Shirin Aktar Sheila is participating in the Miss Universe Global Competition (2019), becoming the first belle of an Islamic country in South Asia to compete for the title.

Young Muslim women participated in the Miss Universe pageant, but they were often from the Middle East and Africa, such as former Lebanese-American beauty queen Rima Fakih.

Miss Shirin Sheila was crowned Miss 2019 for the month of last month, in a competition organized at the level of Bangladesh.

During the competition held in Dhaka at the end of last month, Sherine surprised the jury with her beauty and intelligence as a third-year physics student at Dhaka University.

At the coronation ceremony, she said that her father, a member of the Bangladesh Border Guard, is a good role model in her life.

مشهد ‏لنجمة إباحية في مسلسل شارك فيه مصريون يستفز العرب! أثارت ممثلة الأفلام الإباحية اللبنانية ميا خليفة جدلا واسعا في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي لانتقادها الدول الإسلامية والرجال العرب ضمن مشهد لها في حلقة من الجزء الثاني من مسلسل “رامي”. وظهرت خليفة في الحلقة بشخصيتها الحقيقية كضيفة شرف، إذ جاءت مشاركتها خلال مشهد جمعها بالفنان الأمريكي ذي الأصول المصرية رامي يوسف.   وقالت فيه إنه تم منعها من دخول لبنان والشرق الأوسط بسبب تهديدات تلقتها من تنظيم “داعش” الإرهابي، بحسب ما نشره موقع روسيا اليوم. وزعمت أن “الإحصائيات ونسب المشاهدة تقول إن الرجال الذين يهاجمونها هم أكثر من يشاهدون أفلامها الإباحية.. وأن الدول الإسلامية تستهلك الإباحية أكثر من أي دولة أخرى”. وتسبب المشهد بردود فعل غاضبة، حيث اتهم البعض خليفة بالكذب والمبالغة، بينما رأى البعض الآخر أن ما قالته واقع لا يمكن التغاضي عنه.
