Arsenal continue to lurch in a draw with Wolverhampton
Arsenal continued their series of negative results, with a draw with Wolverhampton (1-1), at the Emirates Stadium, on Saturday, in the 11th round of the Premier League.
The Gunners were defeated by Sheffield United (1-0) in the previous round, and then drew with Crystal Palace (2-2).
Arsenal opened the scoring through Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the 21st minute, and Wolverhampton equalized by Raul Jimenez in the 76th minute.
With this result, Arsenal have 17 points in fifth place and Wolverhampton have 13 points in 11th place.
Arsenal put the first danger in the 18th minute, with a weak shot through Aubameyang, easily caught by goalkeeper Roy Patricio.
The Gunners almost opened the scoring in the 19th minute, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, by Torreira, hit the defenders of Wolverhampton, and passed to the post just a little.
The pressure from Arsenal resulted in a goal through Aubameyang in the 21st minute, after receiving a magical pass by Lacazette inside the penalty area, to hit the Gabonese striker globe, which Roy Patricio was unable to stop.
In the 32nd minute, Lacazette fired a weak ball, grabbed by the Portuguese goalkeeper.
Doherty missed an opportunity to score a draw, after receiving a cross from the inside of the penalty area, which is completely free of censorship, to hit a powerful ball Leno's brilliance in the face.
Wolverhampton began the second half strongly, with a powerful shot by Neves, out of the penalty area, in the 49th minute, directed by Lino to a corner.
With Arsenal dropping in the first quarter of the second half, the Gunners coach Unai Emery made the first switch in the 60th minute, with Gabriel Martinelli down against Lacazette.
Emery made the second switch in the 73rd minute, with Torreira out and Saka going down.
Wolverhampton scored the equalizer in the 76th minute, after Raul Jimenez rose to an elaborate cross from Moutinho, a powerful header passed down the goalkeeper Lino.
Socrates rose to a corner in the 87th minute, heading a header past the post, and then Emery made the third switch Benzol Kolacinac at the expense of Terni.
Jota almost scored a deadly goal for Wolverhampton, after Blino alone in the 90th minute, but he was a long delay in the payment of the ball, to catch the German goalkeeper, to end the game draw (1-1).
