Rachel McAdams celebrated her 41st birthday.

Rachel is a Canadian native-born on 17 November 1978 in the province of Ontario, Canada to a family of five. Her father, Lance, was a truck driver, and her mother, Sandra, worked as a nurse.

She received her education at York University in Canada where she graduated with honors.

She worked as an employee of the famous McDonald's restaurant chain before her fame.

Her first role as an actress in The Famous Jett Jackson was her first film with Italian director Paolo Varese in 2001 before moving to Hollywood in 2002.

Her first Hollywood role was in Hot Chick, but her actual debut was in Mean Girls in 2004. Moving on to starring in Red Eye in 2005.

Her most famous roles include her participation in NoteBook and Charlock Holmes.



She was nominated for an Academy Award in 2015 for her role in Spot Light.
