Real Madrid sweep Leganes and jump to La Liga

Real Madrid returned to the road of big victories, with a 5-0 victory over Leganes on Wednesday evening in the 11th round of the league.

Rodrigo and Toni Kroos scored in the 7th and 8th minutes, while Sergio Ramos and Karim Benzema scored from the penalty spot in the 24th and 69th minutes respectively, and Luka Jovic in the 91st minute.

With this victory, Meringue take the tally to 21 points in the standings behind Barcelona with one point, while Leganes have a freeze at 5 points in last place.

first half

Real Madrid announced his teeth early, as Karim Benzema passed a cross in the penalty area, exploited by Brazilian Rodrigo Joyce and scored the first goal in the 7th minute.

Benzema continued his brilliance, passing a cross to Tony Kroos in a scenario similar to the first goal, and the German managed to double the score in the 8th minute.

Benzema almost scored the third goal for Meringue, where he started the ball on the left side, and hit the ball from the edge of the penalty area, but passed the highest goal of Leganes.

Benzema repeated his attempts to score, where he received a cross from the right front, and fired a scissors, but passed by the left post of goalkeeper Soriano in the 20th minute.

The referee awarded a penalty in favor of Real Madrid, due to the fierce interference of goalkeeper Soriano against Belgian Eden Hazard, Sergio Ramos gave the ball in the 23rd minute, but the Leganes keeper brilliantly saved it.

The referee decided to re-kick after returning to the video technology, and the most famous yellow card in the face of goalkeeper Soriano because of his move before the whistle, this time scored by Ramos and added the third goal for Real Madrid in the 24th minute.

Merneje continued to dominate the game, while Leganes only had to retreat without any danger except Oscar's chance.

Second half

At the start of the second half, Brazilian Marcelo tried, and shot a ball caught by goalkeeper Soriano easily in 47 minutes.

Zidane decided to pay Luka Modric for the first time after recovering from injury, instead of Toni Kroos, then Jovic instead of Benzema, and finally Isco instead of Valverde.

Leganes left-footed French striker Karim Benzema was denied the fourth goal in the 66th minute.

Substitute Luca Modric scored a penalty in the 67th minute after Leganes defender Omero intervened in the penalty area and Benzema, who shot down the right of goalkeeper Soriano, scored the fourth goal.

Substitute Jovic scored the fifth goal for Real in the 74th minute, but the referee canceled it for offside.

Goalkeeper Soriano shone in front of a Marcelo shot inside the area and turned it into a corner in the 81st minute.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Jonathan Courtois was denied an honorary goal in the 87th minute.

Luka Jovic managed to take advantage of Carvajal's cross from the right, and scored the fifth goal with a header in the 91st minute.
