Liverpool strengthen their lead with a hard victory over Tottenham.
Liverpool overcame Tottenham to a 2-1 win at Anfield on Sunday in the 10th round of the Premier League.
Harry Kane scored the Spurs goal in the first minute, before Liverpool leveled through Jordan Henderson, in the 52nd minute, and then came the winning goal by Mohamed Salah, a penalty, in the 75th minute.
Liverpool have 28 points, boosting their lead in the standings, 6 points ahead of defending champions Manchester City, while Tottenham have 12 points.
Liverpool lost ground in the first minute, and received a goal when Sun hit the ball, bounced from the head of a defender and shook the frame of the goal, followed by Kane header in the net from close range.
Liverpool initially struggled to break Tottenham's defensive bloc, especially as the visitors turned to play in a 4-5-1 way when the ball was lost.
Tottenham goalkeeper Gazzaniga played a heroic role when Salah exchanged the ball with Firmino, before the Egyptian fired a long shot from the Argentine goalkeeper, to bounce back to Firmino, who headed towards the near post, but the goalkeeper again tried again.
Gazzaniga continued his brilliance when he turned his fingertips to Van Dijk's header in the 29th minute.
The Argentine goalkeeper also excelled in a long-range shot from Alexander Arnold in the 30th minute.
One minute later, Manny rose to Arnold's cross, putting it next to the goal.
Liverpool began the second half as a striker, Robertson lifted Firmino's header into the narrow corner and Gazzanega pulled a corner in the 48th minute.
Tottenham's response came a minute later, when Gazanega played a long ball and reached the solo Sun, who overtook goalkeeper Alison Baker and hit the crossbar.
Liverpool quickly equalized in the 52nd minute, when Rose failed to deal with a header from Firmino to reach the ball to Henderson, who fired into the far post.
Gazzaniga saved his own chance when Tottenham's defense failed to deal with a new ball to reach Firmino, who fired a shot dominated by the Argentine goalkeeper in the 57th minute.
The rhythm of the game was slightly calmed after Tottenham seemed contented with a draw until the 75th minute, when Liverpool got a penalty after Mani was hampered.
Tottenham tried to remedy things in the last quarter hour, canceled a goal in the 80th minute for offside, Rose shot from inside the penalty area into the stands in the 89th minute, before Salah came off the field to be replaced by defender Joe Gomez, and Alison dominated the header Alderfield in exhalation the last one.
